Anti-littering Campaign: "Carry-in, Carry-out"

It is a pity that historic cities like Okazaki and places of scenic beauty like its surrounding areas are marred by glaring instances of thoughtless littering. We tend to encounter empty food/drink containers, cigarette butts, and other random trash on the streets and in other public spaces on a daily basis. Such actions show disrespect for public spaces and for others sharing those spaces. This problem is compounded by the fact that public trash receptacles are few in number.

In an effort to combat these problems, we would like to propose a city-wide anti-litter campaign, "Carry-in, Carry-out." Let's make it a rule to "carry out" everything we "carry in" whenever we leave public places. This is particularly true of cigarette butts which tend to be left behind. KEEP ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE CLEAN!
